Taiwan has many fun festivals throughout the year. For example, Chinese New Year ,Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival.

I like the Chinese New Year a lot  because the New Year is a new beginning, the New Year brings closer contact with relatives and friends..Additionally,on New Year’s Eve, everyone will gather together to have a reunion dinner and receive New Year’s money.

Another festival to visit when you are in Taiwan is Mid-Autumn Festival . I really like this festival a lot  because the Mid-Autumn Festival is also a day for reunions. People often say that people with a full moon are reunited.Additionally, every family will barbecue, eat moon cakes and set off fireworks on this day.

Finally, on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, you can also join in the fun of Dragon Boat Festival, dragon boat skating, eating rice dumplings and egg-standing. I like to watch the dragon boat competition on the Dragon Boat Festival, because watching the players work hard and seriously on the dragon boat is very shocking and touching. Additionally , on the Dragon Boat Festival, people hang mugwort on doors or windows to ward off evil spirits.

In conclusion, when you’re in Taiwan, I hope you will consider visiting Chinese New Year ,Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival . You can experience different cultures and traditional Taiwanese customs from these festivals, and feel the enthusiasm of Taiwanese people.
